The Philosophy of Paramahansa Sri Nigamananda Saraswati Deva

TParamahansa Sri Sri Nigamananda Saraswati Deva followed the teachings of Sankaracharya, i.e., Advaita Vedanta. This philosophy says that there is only one Brahman, and everything, including all living beings and the universe, is part of Brahman. They are not separate from it.

  • Brahman is everywhere and is one, which is called Advaita Brahmavad.
  • Nature (Prakriti) is diverse but not a single entity.
  • From Brahman, Maya appeared, which has three qualities: Sattva (goodness), Rajas (passion), and Tamas (ignorance). From Maya came space (Akasha), then air, followed by fire, water, and finally earth, all in very small forms.
  • When living beings connect with Brahman, they break free from the cycle of birth and death. This leads to lasting peace, known as Brahma Nirvana, which can only be achieved through the kindness of a Sadguru.
